GP & Nurse Practitioner Appointments

Due to coronavirus, how you contact us will be different at the moment. We are following NHS England advice to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus and allow for social distancing in our waiting rooms. 

All GP and Advance Nurse Practitioner appointments are available to book as telephone consultations.  If you are booking ahead for a routine telephone consultation these are pre-bookable via telephone or online. Face to face appointments are available to all patients where there is a clinical need. 

Our clinicians will have a conversation with the patient during the initial triage to ascertain the best way to address patients concerns, this may be via a face to face consultation. We see many patients face to face each day following clinical triage by a GP or ANP.  Video consultations are also available, during your initial telephone triage consultations with a clinician please let them know you would like a video consultation.

Please speak to the Receptionist when booking your appointment if you have any concerns about the type of appointment you are offered and they will try to accommodate your preference for a face to face appointment where possible.

We are following enhanced infection control processes to stop the spread of coronavirus.  This means the clinicians follow a thorough cleaning process after each face to face appointment.  We therefore have a reduced capacity for face to face appointments.

Please remember that each appointment is only 10 minutes long so only one problem can be safely dealt with during that time.  The clinician will ask you to book a further appointment if you have multiple issues to discuss.
